Playing With My "Paper Dolls"....

I used to play with paper dolls all the time!  I loved them and still kind of do!  My mom found these "paper dolls" for Lauren before she was ever even born and I pulled them out for her the other day!  These are an updated version of the old style of paper dolls--they are magnetic and super cool!  Lauren has been playing with them non-stop and LOVES the girls!

Daddy's Boots....

Payton came home and changed clothes and Lauren went running into his closet and disappeared for a few minutes.  I went to check on her and found this...

A Visit From My Cousin....

My cousin, Heidi, and her husband, Kris, live in Cameron, TX now and came to visit us for the weekend!  We had a great time and Lauren loved playing with them!  Before they left, we went to eat lunch at Cedar's Landing and had a great time!

Kindermusik, Week 12

Well, our Kindermusik journey had to come to an end sometime...and we made it through 12 weeks of super fun classes with Miss Sandy!  Lauren loved every single class and still talks about her "moosic class!"  We'll start back up during the summer and you can guarntee I'll take pictures!

Kindermusik, Week 12
While all the other kids used the tamborines like they are made for...
Lauren put her tamborine on her head and called it her "crown!"
She loves riding on the towel with her flashlight!
Having fun!!!
Miss Sandy always gives out certificates for particpation
and Lauren was very excited about her award!

Putting It Into Perspective....

If this picture doesn't at least make you misty...then you really have no soul!  I was going through some of Lauren's clothes and found this little jewel.  This was one of our favorite sleepers for her as a newborn.  She was already sound asleep so I went in her room, set it on her to compare how much she's grown in two years, and snapped a quick picture.  This picture really makes me a little sad at how fast she's growing up!

More Of Mommy's Heels....

To say Lauren "loves" playing in my heels is quite the understatement!  She actually calls my heels, "Mommy's boots" and she is OBESSED with them!  Pardon her hair in these pics...she traded the bow for the heels...and a purse...and a hat!

All that playing with heels, purses, and hats really calls for a gal to kick up her feet and relax...

No More Crib....

The day finally came...Lauren learned to climb out of her crib!  I'm actually surprised it didn't happen sooner because she loves to climb!  Payton took the front of her crib off to transition her bed into more of a daybed.  She did really great and only ended up on the floor once (that we know of).

First night in her new bed!  We put pillows on the floor incase she fell out...
Sound asleep!
Second night in her new bed!  She did great!
The next morning!  She seemed a little confused but loves her bed!
Third night in her new bed!  Notice all of her "kids" as she calls them...
she lined them up all on her own!  Too cute!
Annnnnd....this is how the third night ended!

My Clown Dress....

We all know I love a good deal...especially a good smocked deal!  I found this cute smocked clown dress at a garage sale of all places and for the price ($3.00), I just couldn't say no!  I figure if we ever go to the circus, she has a dress now!

Being silly while I was trying to take a picture of her!
"Cheese...now get out of my face, Mother!"
She made herself quite comfy...
The hat just makes the outfit...

My Astros Dress....

Auntie Autumn bought Lauren an adorable Astros dress last year!  It was the smallest size Target had and I've waited an entire year for the dress to finally fit!  She has worn this dress several times since spring hit Houston because it's so comfy, soft, and cool...oh, and CUTE!

Going to the store...with her shopping cart and "kids..."
You can imagine the fit we endured when we told her she wasn't
bringing her "kids" with her...or the shopping cart!
We stopped at the park to play a little before heading to the store!
Running, running, running!
Modeling her new dress!
Too cute!
We made it to the store!  She was singing to me...

Playing Catch-Up....

Things have been quite busy around our house lately!  Between school getting out, being in grad school, weddings, and all the summer activities, I have neglected my blogging duties!  Never fear...I still have TONS of pictures for you, I'm just slow getting there!  So tonight (or very early this morning depending on how you want to look at it), I'll play catch-up with some of the more random pictures I capture of our little one!
Fun at the park!  I love that smile!
I found this GIANT stuffed horse at a garage sale down our street for $3...
I was going to take it to school but it has never quite made it there...
Organizing her crayons at lunch...
Love the smile, the dress, the bow...THE GIRL!
She came zipping around the corner with her
hat on and bike the other day...
No telling what she was up too before
she came in the kitchen like that...
It's getting hot in Houston so it was time to cool off!
Giggles with Dora and "Boots the Monkey"!
Just watching TV with my horse...
And a partridge in a pear tree...
Sitting in her new chair and eating...
Legs straight out to make a table...
Her new obsession...Ariel!
Talking about a "CHEESER"!
Silly girl!
Crayon fun!!!
Heading to school...
In style...
Watching a movie in her fort!
Reading her giant Sesame Street book!
She "read" all the pages to me!
She loves that book!
Shades!
Wrapped up in her "Grammie blanket" as she calls it!
When I asked her where she was going...she said, "McDonalds!"
Oh you know...just sitting in my toy box with my bucket on my head!
