George Ranch Historical Park....

While Autumn and Jesse were still in town, we went out to the George Ranch Historical Park!  I've always wanted to go but Payton is a fuddy-duddy and didn't want to!  Well, to make my dreams come true, I drug Autumn and Jesse along with me to the ranch!  The only downside, it was HOT!!!  But, if you like old, antique things, this is just for you!  We took about a thousand pictures (not really, just 300), and I'll try to post just the good ones!  If you're ever in Houston and have a day to burn (because it takes quite awhile to go through everything), you should go!  The park has a cute little giftshop and diner too which we stopped in and ate lunch there!  Enjoy the pictures!

Playing in the giftshop...
More giftshop fun...
The first sign we saw...oh great.
1830's Jones Stock Farm
All this poor chicken wanted to do was lay an egg...and poor Lauren kept yelling at it!
I think he needs a bigger hat...
This children's bed slept 4-6...
He's taller than the door!
This was the tram in-between houses!
We were going to walk to the houses but it was WAY TOO HOT!
1860's Ryon Prairie Home
Relaxing in the chairs before the tour started!
Mommy and Lauren relaxing before the tour starts!
Cool piano inside the house!
This tour guide had to be dying!!!  It was so hot!
Neat little dolls
Pretty vanity and sink!
Walking to go look at the chickens...again.
Sitting in the children's rocker!  She is so cute!
I just love her!!!
Taking the tram to the next house!
Autumn having fun on the tram!
Jesse on the train!
Inside the 1890's Davis Victorian Mansion (I didn't get a picture of the outside of this house)
I thought this was so pretty!
If you know where to get one, let me know!
Pretty tea set
Gorgeous organ!
Pretty place setting--the half shaped plate is for bones--I learned something!
A mustache cup!  Who knew?!
In the garden outside the house!
Jesse and Autumn
Mommy and Lauren
Mommy and Lauren again!
Autumn, Lauren, and Jesse
We took a break on the tour to go to the roping demonstration.
We each go to rope a "calf" and Cowboy Larry helped us!
Here is Jesse trying hard to rope that calf!
Autumn swinging that rope!
And she roped him!
Lauren waving hello while we roped our "calf"!
My turn!!!  I've never done this so I was kind of nervous!
And what was I nervous about?!  I roped that thing on my second try!
Cowboy Larry giving me a high-five!
I think he was surprised by my skills!
Treehouse outside of the last home!
Autumn posing under the tree!
She's a tree hugger!
Cutie pie Lauren!
1930's George Ranch House
Ignore the hot and tired lady in the picture...
Original piano from the house
I love old hat boxes!
And I love old gloves and hats too!
Original bed and pictures
All of these animals were caught on the property...yikes!
Armadillo basket!
Our last stop was watching the cowboy presentation
And we got to see two of the longhorns up close and personal...
Cowboy Larry!
Watching the cows go for a dip...
Coming out of the water!
