The Easter Bunny....

Poor Valentino! It's probably a good thing he's getting a little sister in April to take all of the attention off of him! But, I couldn't resist this $1 Easter Bunny outfit from the Dollar Spot at Target!!! If you have a dog, you should go get one too!

Happy Easter from the Easter Bunny!

Hippity, Hoppity!

Cutest. Easter. Bunny. Ever. Even if he's glaring at me....

More Progress This Weekend....

Payton and I made even more progress this weekend in the baby's nursery! Payton got the canopy up over the crib, the chandelier up over the chair, and a few other little things done! We still need to put the mirror over the dresser, put the cord cover on the light, put the changing pad on the dresser, and a few other final touches here and there. It's all coming together though! I can't believe she will be here in 7 weeks!

Looking into the bedroom from the door! Got the chandelier up too! Just need to put the cord cover on and the mirror up!

After we don't need a rocker anymore, this will be her play corner! She already has lots of books in the basket under the side table too!

The toile chair on one side and toy baskets on the other side of the crib! Now I just need to put the bedding on and we're set!

The canopy over the crib is so cute! I love it!

A better shot of the chandelier over the chair (future play corner) with my pink baby blanket on the chair!

I Just Knew It....

I just knew Baby Lauren and Valentino would be the best of friends--and now I have proof!

***DISCLAIMER: This is one strange blog post but probably not my strangest (refer to Baby High Heels and Chandelier for reference).***

This all started a few days ago after our 4-D Ultrasound...My friend Megan said that strangely she could see "Valentino" in one of Lauren's sonogram pictures. I couldn't see it. Then my friend Amanda claimed she could see it. I still couldn't see it. Then my sister jumped on board and said she could see it too. Still, I could not see what they were talking about. Lastly, my dad got in on the action and said he saw it too. Still, nothing for me. It took my dad sending me the picture below for me to figure out what these four were talking about! But, if you squint your eye and tilt your head a little, there is a little resemblance of a dog in her picture--and we'll just say it's Valentino getting in on the action! So what does this all mean you ask?! It means that they WILL be the best of friends!

I've posted more bizarre blog updates than this--we'll blame it on only having 7 1/2 weeks left and crazy hormones....

32 Weeks and Lots of Hair....

Today we went in for our 32 week regular sonogram and monthly check-up. While we were there, we had a 4-D sonogram done and it was so cool! The baby is weighing in at 4.6 pounds (which is a little big) but everything else is just fine! She's growing like crazy, kicking like crazy, and has lots of hair already. That's a good thing though because I already have at least 10 bows for her! The due date is still scheduled for April 15th. She was moving around a lot while the sonogram technician was doing the sonogram and had her hand over her face for a lot of it. We did get some really cute pictures though. I see a lot of Payton in her already--I think it's the cheeks and nose! Enjoy little Lauren below; she'll be here before we know it!

Look at all that hair!

Arm over her face but her eyes are open!

A cool profile shot with her arm up by her face!

Look at those chubby little cheeks!
Chubby cheeks and big lips!

So cute!

The Chicco Has Landed....

C.C. and Grandad (a.k.a. Payton's parents) bought Lauren a Chicco stroller and it came in today! Now, I don't know too much about strollers, but this one is really great! It was super easy to put together (especially since I watched Payton do it) and it rides really smooth and nice! My biggest fear was that I would have the baby and have nothing to take her home in, but now I don't have to worry! Below is Valentino, of course, trying out the new stroller--he actually really liked it!

An Explosion of Pink....

Payton has been working like crazy in the nursery so we can get it all finished! He finished all the bead board and chair rail and got all of the furniture moved back in. He also hung the curtains and will work on the canopy that goes over the crib next. And, don't forget, we still have the beautiful chandelier to add to her room as well! We still haven't 100% decided where we are going to place all of the furniture but we're working on it. Here are a few pictures of what we have finished so far!

You can see one knob changed on the dresser to a pink-glass knob. We still need to change the rest out too. We also need to hang the mirror over the dresser, add the changing pad to the dresser, and a few other touches here and there.

Looking from the door into the nursery. The white canopy will go over the crib.

Happy Valentine's Day....

Payton and I went to breakfast this morning at The Grand Lux Cafe! We always say we're going to try something new, but this place is just too good! Hope everyone had a great day!

Best. Waffles. Ever.

Payton enjoying breakfast!

Heather (and Lauren) enjoying her waffle at breakfast! The baby must like waffles because she started kicking like crazy after this!

60 Days Left....

My little counter says I only have 60 days left of this pregnancy! I'm not sure about any of you (all 5 of my readers), but this kinda freaks me out! We have a lot to do in 60 days!!!

And She Will Be Loved....

....and have good lighting in her room!

Everytime we buy something for Baby Lauren I can't help but sing the song by Maroon 5 "She Will Be Loved" in my head, because trust me, this child will be loved! Today, we might have gone a bit farther off the deep end (and you just thought the baby high heels were too much) and purchased a chandelier for her room! I can't wait to put it up! Here's what it looks like!

Unkie Shay Joins the Fun....

Well, I knew he'd come around soon enough! It looks like Unkie Shay (Payton's brother) is also donating to the "Baby Lauren Clothing Drive!" While Shay was in the city today, and I do mean the BIG city of New York, he found these cute onesies for Baby Lauren and obviously just couldn't resist! Thanks, Unkie Shay! She will love them!!!

Maybe Baby Lauren will be like a "Sex and the City" girl!!! I'm guessing a Charlotte York with dark hair and pearls!

Love it!!!

A Girl Needs Patent Leather Shoes....

I took these pictures off of my sister's blog (http://www.365daysofbeauty.blogspot.com/) because she bought these precious hot pink patent leather shoes for Lauren! She has only like 500 outfits so far that she can wear these shoes with!!! Thanks again, Auntie Autumn, for keeping this child clothed in cute clothes and shoes!

These shoes are called Teeny Toes! Look how cute! Why don't they make shoes like this for grown-up people?!

Autumn holding a shoe in her hand to show you just how small or "Teeny" they really are!

30 Weeks Down...

10 to go!!!

I can't believe 30 weeks have passed already! Where did the time go?! Lauren is kicking like crazy and watching my stomach move is very bizarre! I'm feeling really good, except for the occasional morning sickness again. Luckily I had A LOT of experience with that during the first 4 1/2 months, so I've got my system down in the morning now! Other than that, I'm a little tired, but I hear that comes with the territory! I'm taking it easy and just getting ready for her to be here!

I have an ultrasound scheduled for February 17th and we are getting a 4-D sonogram done that day too! We can't wait to see Little Baby Lauren again! I will definitely be posting pictures after that appointment!

So for now, you'll have to enjoy this picture of me at 30 weeks pregnant!

30 weeks down! Look closely at the bottom left-hand corner--Valentino just had to get in the picture too!

More Decor for the Nursery...

Here are a few more things I've bought for the nursery decorations! It's all coming along! I can't wait for the painting and finishing touches to be done so I can actually start putting it all together!

I found two pink and brown lamps (ON SALE!!!) at Hobby Lobby and I think they will look really cute on her dresser and beside the rocker.

I found this pink toile kid's chair at TJ Maxx/Home Goods a few weeks ago! Can you say PERFECT?! I needed something to show just how small it really is, so Valentino worked perfectly! I just hope he doesn't think the chair is his now!

Baby Daze Craze...

A few times a year churches in the Kingwood/Atascocita area hold these WONDERFUL events called Baby Daze! It's kinda like an upscale garage sale with nothing but baby stuff, EVERYWHERE!

My friend Tiffany and I went to Baby Daze in September but I was only about 10-12 weeks pregnant and had no idea what I was looking for. At the end of January, Tiffany and I went back to Baby Daze and this time I knew exactly what I was looking for--cute, mostly pink, everything! Tiffany said it best too--"It's like a race, you have to get in there and dig through the racks FAST!" And she is exactly right!
Here are some pictures of a FEW things I bought that day!

A cute little smocked sailor dress!

"Wild Child" pants!

Isn't this so cute?! And it was only $5 at Baby Daze!

She will be a "Princess"--for sure!

Puppy Love! I hope her and Valentino are the best of friends!

See--I didn't buy all pink stuff!

The Nursery is Coming Along....

So after the drama over baby bedding and then the dilemma over paint colors, we (and by we I really mean Payton) have made a huge dent in the nursery! Our wonderful friend Justin came over last weekend and helped Payton get all of the bead board and chair rail up. Here are some pictures of the nursery so far! Just a few touch-ups on paint and a few other things here and there and then the decorating can start!

UNDER CONSTRUCTION!

The perfect shades of pink for her "Pink Explosion Room" as Payton says!

A Baby Shower Not To Be Missed....

My WONDERFUL Specials Team (which consists of PE, Library, Art, Computers, and Science Lab), has become very good at throwing showers! The shower they are throwing for Little Baby Lauren will be no exception--I'm absolutely sure of it! I mean, look at the invitation alone! They even put pink toile as the background! I will have lots of pictures to post after the March 2, 2010 Baby Shower!

Look how cute! Pink toile background and all!!!

Brings Back Old Memories....

Almost 8 years ago Payton and I registered for wedding stuff! I remember that day very well--picking out different toasters, dishes, bedding, coffee makers, etc. was so much fun! Hard to believe that was 8 years ago!

Now, with the coming addition of Little Baby Lauren, we went to Babies R Us, Wal-Mart, and Target to register for our little girl! No toasters and coffee makers this time--lots of pink, pink, pink instead! Here we are having fun with the scanning gun at Babies R Us!

Scanning baby stuff with the Babies R Us gun!

Payton even got in on the action! Here he is using the Babies R Us gun to scan a Boppy Pillow!

A Blanket Made With Love....

Grammie Tammie has been working hard on an afagan for Little Baby Lauren! The colors are hot pink, light pink, purple, and yellow! Grammie Tammie is about 1/2 finished with the afagan! Here are some pictures of the blanket so far!

Look how cute it is!

1/2 way finished!
