I Love Hugs...

Payton and I enjoy sitting on the back deck to read the paper, play on the computer, or just sit and enjoy the nice weather! So this evening, we decided to take Lauren out and enjoy the weather with her too! She sat in her Bumbo and played with her "keys" while we enjoyed the paper and computer (I'm blogging right now from outside)! Here is a picture of her in the Bumbo--I thought this picture was funny because her bib says "I Love Hugs" and it looks like she's trying to give a hug...it's the little things in life! Enjoy!

4 Generations....

Baby Dedication....

Since most of the family was in town for graduation, we had a small baby dedication for Lauren so our family could be there to celebrate with us! It was so special to Payton and I that we could take a few minutes out of the graduation celebration and have this dedication. Brother Walter Huber from Emmanuel Baptist Church performed the ceremony.

Lauren at Graduation...

Lauren did so good at graduation! She loves big crowds because she can just look around and stare at everyone. She, of course, had a giant bow in her hair and was dressed in an adorable ENMU onesie that Auntie Autumn had made for her!

ENMU Graduation....

We traveled to Portales for ENMU Graduation on May 15th to watch Auntie Autumn, Aunt Steph, my cousin Rocky graduate! Autumn got her degree in Business with an emphasis in Hotel, Tourism, Restaurant, Management. Stephenie graduated with a degree in Music Education with an emphasis in Vocal Education. Rocky Jr (and his wife Andrea who was sick and couldn't attend graduation) both got their degrees to be Occupational Therapists. Congratulations to all of you!!!

Funcle Dane and Aunt Steph Meet Lauren....

5 weeks is a LONG time to go without meeting your precious niece, but Funcle (Fun-Uncle) Dane and Aunt Steph managed to do it even though it was very hard! Here are some pictures of them with the baby!

Anne Geddes, Take Two...

The other day I decided that I would create my own little mini portrait studio and take some pictures of Lauren. She had just eaten, was wide awake, and had a clean diaper on so she was in a good "picture-taking" mood. That being said, my little idea did not work out as well as intended because she kept sliding down, but I did get a few cute shots. Don't worry, we'll try again soon!

My Auntie Loves Me...

Auntie Autumn got this precious sleeper for Lauren WAY before she was even born! It has just recently fit her but I'm sure if she could talk she would say it's her favorite sleeper so far!

We just had to take one more picture before bedtime!

Bumbo Time....

This is probably really strange, but the one thing I wanted most for Lauren (okay, one of the things I wanted most...) was a Bumbo. I don't know why I'm fascinated with these things, but I think they are just so cool! So since Lauren is getting better at holding her head up, we tried out the Bumbo the other day and she LOVES it! She is quite the little busy body and likes to be able to see everything so this works perfect for her! Here she is testing it out the other day:

Still Just Swingin' Away...

Lauren still really loves her swing! In fact, she usually swings in the morning while I'm getting ready. The other day, I came around the corner to find her leg up on the tray! This cracked me up! I have no idea how she got it up there but I wish I could have seen how this went down!

Anne Geddes I Am Not....

While having "tummy time" the other day, I decided to take a few pictures of Lauren in the "Anne Geddes" style. Well from the pictures below, you can tell that Anne Geddes I am not. At least she's still cute, even if her mommy couldn't capture it the way it was intended.
